Six quick checks, each tied to how X's ranker or rules treat a post.
Hook
Does the first line earn the “Show more”? Short openers with a number, a claim or a direct “you” score higher.
Scannability
Short lines and white space keep people reading. Walls of text get scrolled past.
Shareable value
Lists, numbers and lessons get saved and shared, and shares are among the biggest positive signals X's ranker uses.
Reply potential
A specific question invites replies, and X weights a reply far above a like.
Bait and spam risk
Asking for follows or reposts, hashtag stuffing, all caps and hype invite mutes and reports, which X's ranker punishes hardest.
Links and length
Links aren't penalized by the ranker, but they cost more to schedule. Posts over 280 characters need Premium or a thread.

No. It's a quick heuristic built on the public weights in X's open-source ranker and on X's rules about engagement bait. Real reach also depends on your audience, timing and topic, which no checker can see.
No. Scoring runs entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to us. If you click Open in X, your draft goes to X's composer, where you decide whether to post it.
68 and up is strong, and 82 and up is a banger. A low score isn't a verdict, just a list of things worth fixing before you post.
